Bath Time = Fun Time

We finally took the sling/hammock out of Holden's bathtub and we definitely did it too late! She has so much more fun now kicking and splashing in the water.

Trip to Grandmommie's!

Drew and I both had to be out of town for work this past week so Holden got to spend a few days with Grandmommie and Papa Bud! She was thoroughly spoiled and had a great time helping them pack and taking walks through the gardens.

Big Girl

Even though she's right at average for her height/weight, it think she carries it all in cheeks and legs. Most days we have to push her legs down into her Bumbo seat.

Holden looks like she could be 3 years old in this outfit! It's too cute, but scary since I know she'll actually be 3 before I know it.

Messy

Whether she gets excited about the food, or is over and done with it, eating is getting very messy! It's getting easier to strip her before eating so the laundry doesn't get too ridiculous!

New Shoes!

We've had these jellies for a few months, but she's just now big enough that they don't come off her feet when she curls her toes up. The ladies at daycare couldn't get over how cute they were! Holden loved kicking her feet against everything; it could have been the feeling, or just the sounds it made.

4th of July

We took the long weekend and went to visit Drew's dad for the 4th. The weather gods must have been looking down on us because we had no humidity and - more importantly - no mosquitos!

A long car ride home... Dixie is enjoying her new spot! We bought a 4Runner last weekend so she now has more room to stretch out!

6 Months

Holden's 6-month check-up was this morning and everything checked out fine. She now weighs 16 lb, 6.5 oz! She grew about a 1.25"in the past 2 months to 25.75". Her head is still above average... 43 cm around :-)

She loves looking at herself and us in the mirror. She laughs and smiles, then turns back to make sure we're still really behind her.

She got more shots today as well, she's more aware of them so the screaming and crying is a bit more but she still settles down pretty fast. It makes for a pretty uneventful day at daycare, she sleeps more than normal afterwards and went down pretty fast and earlier tonight as well.
