Baby Doll

We had a lunch date with Carmin, her sister, and her two nieces today. I personally thought the baby doll was creepy (see him glaring at Holden in the first pic!), but she ended up LOVING that thing!

Gigi's Coming!

Holden's Gigi (my mom) is coming to stay with her this week while I go back to work. We put our cutest outfit on to surprise her! Baby Uggs compliments of her Uncle Dave :-)

GMR Easter

Friday afternoon was Drew's office Easter party. Holden was pretty pooped from all the wedding fun earlier so she ended up sleeping most of the time we were there. They had put together Easter baskets for all the kids with their names and everything, SO nice!

Playing Dress Up

We had more wedding fun Friday morning with Carmin, this time for bridesmaid dresses for me and her sister. The salespeople fell in love with Holden and took it upon themselves to pull out flower girl dresses and accessories to try on her! She was so over it by the time we made it to the prom dresses :-) Her expressions get worse and worse!

Swing Town

After months of trying, Holden has finally taken to her swing! She's been taking her morning nap in it all week while I get to shower :-)

More Bjorn

I figured out how to turn Holden to face out in the Bjorn for another pretty day outside!

Hands Free!

We tried the Baby Bjorn a few weeks ago but Holden wouldn't have it, I guess she was still a little small. Now that she has more weight on her I tried it out today. It's a beautiful day outside but she'd already been in her carseat alot so I didn't want to go out in the stroller. We have Baby Bjorn success!!

Mama's Favorite

Drew took pictures of his favorite outfit last week, now it's my turn! I don't know what it says about me, but I love the crying ones as much as the smiles :-)

Grandaddy and Janet came to visit this morning, Holden gets a real kick out of her Great-Grandaddy talking to her.

We then went to our friend Cole's first birthday party. I'm already looking forward to Holden digging into her own cake!

Spring Has Sprung!

The Stutzman's

We went to visit with Haley and Nicholaus on Friday and got to see her husband Dan as well. Nicholaus was very interested in the baby and wanted to play ball with her and share her milk.

Haley gave me Nicholaus' Bumbo seat to use. Holden's still a little unsteady in it, but she did get to watch some of the WVU game that afternoon!

March Madness

Holden is joining Drew for his favorite night of the year - the start of the NCAA tournament!

Blushing Bride

Holden and I went with Carmin to the Bridal Mart in Burlington to look at dresses for her upcoming wedding. Holden was an angel the whole time, the salespeople totally ignored the 'no children allowed' policy they have in the store. She eyed all of the dresses and gave her opinions: elevator eyes were good, no contact was bad :-) Drew thinks it's WAY too early, but we did try some veils on her too!

We drove through Elon to see all the changes since we were students there and had lunch at one of Carmin's favorites from then. I can't wait to bring Holden back once she's older to show her around!

Photoshop Fun

Bonn got Holden a Washington Caps jersey, but since she won't be able to wear it for awhile we had some Photoshop fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

With as much green as Holden has in her room, we had a pitiful time finding something green for her to wear today... it's pretty pale, but it still counts!

Mittens

She's been wearing her mittens all winter, especially while we were in WV, but I realized I never got a picture of them. It was a little cooler yesterday and we were going with Rachel to Tess's gymnastics class so we dressed up! I caught her mid-sneeze in the 2nd picture :-)

New Toy

Holden is starting to notice more and more things around her so we've started playing with some of her toys. We got this one last week at Haley's consignment sale and she loves looking at herself in the mirror and listening to the music.

Fun with Carmin

Carmin came over to watch Holden so Drew and I could see a movie and go to dinner. Holden always has fun with Carmin, dancing to the Black Eyed Peas and playing dress up! The bow was gone by the time we got home, but there was a picture taken of their fun :-)

New Friends

I took Holden to visit with Rachel and her kids this afternoon. Blake, Heath, and Tess were so excited to see Holden and all took turns holding her. They were very impressed with her strong kicks and laughing. Heath gave her a picture of a leprechaun and made a cut-out of a dog, both to keep her from crying when she gets upset! Blake is ready to teach her how to walk and Tess is going to teach her gymnastics; Holden is going to have some great friends showing her all the ropes!

Grandmommie's Visit

Drew's mom, Grandmommie, and Papa Bud came to visit over the weekend. It's amazing to hear others say how much Holden is growing. It's hard for me to see it day-to-day unless I look back at pictures. She really is changing, growing, and learning every day though!

Bath Time

We started our nighttime routine this week with her bath, feeding, and book before being put down to bed. It's been going very well, she's in her crib by 9pm and doesn't fuss too long before falling asleep. I mentioned her crying after getting out of the bath earlier... I've never seen her so mad as this time EVERY night. We've tried doing it as fast as possible, warming her towel in the dryer before getting her out, letting her stay in the bath until she's ready to get out... not sure exactly what the problem is but she sure lets us know! Thankfully she calms down pretty quickly once she's dressed so it doesn't disrupt her falling asleep shortly after.

Lunch Out

Holden and I got out for lunch with Carmin again today, meeting her and Hayden at The Counter. Holden and Hayden have been dieing to meet each other so we figured it was about time :-) It was so loud and crowded in the restaurant that no one even noticed when Holden had had enough and started fussing! It's a great place for us to go since I don't worry about bothering the other diners.

Doctor Visit

Holden had her 2 month check up this morning and she did great! She now weighs in at 10 lb, 6.5 oz, which is right at the 50th percentile. She also grew 1/4" to 21 1/2". It was vaccination time, but she was a trooper. I actually laughed the whole time because the surprised look on her face when that first needle hit her was just priceless. That may be cruelest mom of the year award, but I couldn't help it - it was just too cute. She actually cries much worse every evening when we take her out of the bathtub. Below are pictures before her bath with her sparkly band-aids still on; and then after the bath screaming at the top of her lungs!

Mall Girl

We took our first trip to the mall today! After visiting a few stores and loving the new sites and sounds, we met Carmin for lunch at Arthur's and had the whole place cooing at how cute our Holden is. It definitely wore her out getting so much attention! And yes, there are 3 different kinds of pacifiers in her crib and she doesn't like any of them...
