Family shots at Wrigley

Given our failed attempt at seeing a Cubs game, and the rest of the weekend's pictures, these two family shots fell through the cracks!

Budding Fashionista

It should come as no surprise to anyone reading this that Holden is very particular about her clothes, shoes, and accessories... She has to pick out her clothes each day and usually does not want any suggestions. It's serious mental warfare if I know I'll need to talk her into something she typically doesn't want to wear (pants are at the TOP of that list...)

Nov 10 - Happy Birthday Uncle Dave!

Swinging at the Park

In case you didn't know... all blues match, and all stripes  match :)

Healing for Pete

We love you Pete!

Road Trips

Not sure who gets the shorter end of the stick during road trips... Drew has to drive the entire time, but I have to ride in the back and try not to get car sick. The real winner, obviously, is Holden... shocker

1st Grade Practice

We got to spend some time at Aunt Sarah's school recently and Holden is SO ready to be in 1st grade! She looks adorable in Gigi's glasses, loves the readily available stickers and crayons, and learning all of the fun songs and dances!

Halloween FAIL

Thank goodness we had so many other successful pre-Halloween festivities, because by Halloween night Holden was DONE!

GMR Halloween

Drew's office had trick or treating for everyone's kids, along with games and crafts for them. Holden had a great time and got to play with friends she doesn't get to see very often.

Interesting Outfit Choices

Stripes on stripes... flower on the headband... ribbon as 'scarf', multiple necklaces and bracelets... rainboots...

I'm going to have my hands full :)

Heist Brewery

A new restaurant/brewery opened in Charlotte, Heist Brewery, so obviously we had to check it out. The beer got rave reviews and the food was very good! Holden tried all kinds of stuff for the first time, including lobster bisque served in test tubes!

Pumpkin Carving

Daycare's Trunk or Treat

Dress Rehearsal

As we were practicing Holden's Halloween costume (getting her to keep the wig on), we came up with using a handkerchief around her head first. Of course that led to a Cinderella reference and wearing an apron around as well...

Yet another pumpkin patch...

We checked out one more pumpkin patch before the season changed, and fortunately this one had more than just pumpkins. The water trowel was pretty cool, they had rubber duckies to race back and forth. The hay bale spider wasn't a huge hit... but the fort was received much better.
