Last Few Days

Not a whole lot is happening lately, just a few odds n ends pictures from the past few days.

Still giving her the sippy cup to get used to it, still mainly just chews on it and then gets frustrated that nothing's coming out!

Our air conditioning went out on Sunday. Luckily we were able to get someone out that evening to fix it. Holden had to take her nap downstairs directly in front of one of the fans.

We're trying new foods every few days. So far she's up to pears, squash, and sweet potatoes. Her least favorite is squash, so it makes the biggest mess!

Happy Father's Day!

For Drew's 1st Father's Day, we got him a new set of cookware! He'd been 'saving' to get this present until our 10th anniversary, but I thought this would be a nice surprise and well-deserved. It didn't get much better for him than new cookware, the final round of the US Open, and a happy baby!

Cup

Holden has been reaching for my cup alot lately, so I took out a sippy cup for her to try. I don't think she got anything out of it, but she did pretty well holding it. She also tried pears today for the first time and ate half the jar!

John & Heather's Wedding

Drew was in his cousin John's wedding this past weekend. There will be more pictures to come once I get them, but here are a couple from Friday night's rehearsal dinner. Holden was a trooper the whole weekend, putting up with two nights past her bedtime. She was a hit and everyone commented on how happy she always is!

Grandaddy dancing her to sleep:

If you take a million pictures, one's bound to have both of us smiling!

On the Mend

We're feeling better today! No fever so Holden gets to go back to daycare tomorrow. Miss Betty even called this morning to check on her!

Just talking to Daddy:

Ears

So Holden's fever continued to get higher, so we took her to the Dr on Tuesday and she has an ear infection. She's been feeling much better during the day, but still has trouble sleeping through the night.

Milestones

We had two different milestones happen on Sunday... Holden got her first fever (#1) Nothing too serious, just 100.4, but it was enough to wipe her out for most of the morning. Once she woke up she was perfectly fine and the fever went down pretty quickly. She even held onto her bottle all by herself! (#2) She always grabs her normal bottle, but she was getting some juice/water from a shorter bottle that I think was easier for her to control.

Carmin came by for a few hours that afternoon to watch Holden while I took a much needed break after being sick myself all week.

Sick Day

Drew had to go to the race this weekend and Holden and I have both been sick all week. She's handling it much better than me, her cough doesn't seem to bother her at all! We had a very low key day at home, just playing and napping.

Such intense concentration to get this in her mouth!

Love the blue eyes

First Food

We gave Holden her first rice cereal Tuesday night. I think she did pretty well! It takes a while to learn how to swallow that way, but I think she'll get the hang of it pretty quick.

Memorial Day

We had a nice cook-out at Gigi's for Memorial Day; lots and lots of family and friends came over to celebrate and visit with Holden. Unfortunately I only got one picture from the day... Holden's Aunt Sarah teaching her how to suck her thumb :-)

Laughing

While getting her bath Saturday night, Holden started laughing. We're still not sure what set her off, but she kept going at us laughing! Sorry if it's hard to hear her over us laughing, it was just too cute. Gigi sounds a little crazy... but you do whatever it takes for the grandbaby!

Poolside

We introduced Holden to Gigi's pool over Memorial weekend. She was so content hanging out, she lasted almost an hour before wanting a nap! Her raft was still a little big for her, but hopefully at some point this summer she'll grow into it. I think we were all secretly happy it was too big, it just meant we all got to hold her :-)

Uncle Bonn

Uncle Bonn hadn't seen Holden since she was just 6 weeks old, so they had a fun time getting to know each other again!
