Sometimes it's the smallest and funniest of things that can overwhelm you... Holden wanted to wear a hat after getting out of the bath last night and I remembered a few that our Ruth Ann had sent Holden right after she was born. I didn't think in a million years Holden would actually keep it on. She typically asks for a hat, hair bow, bracelet, etc. but pulls it off and plays with it. Not this hat... she wanted it on and tied under her chin. I took it off briefly to brush her hair and she just kept asking for it. I tried asking to take it off before going to bed and she said no, so she fell asleep with it on. I snuck back in before I went to bed and it was still on. I did untie it just in case, so it came off throughout the night, but I have this lovely and funny reminder of a connection I believe the two of them share.

Mountaineer Weekend

How do you travel with a toddler without an iPad...?

Even after a long car ride, she was still ready to party all night once she saw all the family

Tailgating at the Law School

Truck Bryant came right up to us to see Holden!

We came back out after halftime and Holden took a little nap

Dinner with the family again!

Playing on the WV golf cart in the Waterfront lobby was a hit after Sunday breakfast

Weekend at the Lake

Drew and Holden spent last weekend at Grandmommie and Popi's with Grandaddy. They had a great time fishing and reading new books!

Farm Animals

Hunter Farms also has pony rides and 'petting zoo' for their farm animals. Holden didn't get along so well with the horses last time we were this close, but this time she loved it. At least looking at them and petting... we didn't go for the ride again, it was pretty close to naptime!

You could feed the sheep and goats, but they were pretty aggressive - not violent, just aggressive. Holden only ever could get about 2 little pieces of food in her hand, so the sheep and goats were pretty disappointed after making their way to her.

Ironically, her favorite animal of the day were the farm dogs running around. She tried following them around and had her eye on one as it ran alongside our hayride.

Pumpkin Patch

Picture overload... we went out to Hunter Farms Saturday morning to get some pictures in the pumpkin patch and to show Holden some farm animals. The animals will have to be a separate post!
